Overview

The objective is to simulate a virtual tennis court in which two people can play tennis in the virtual environment. These two persons are probably geographically apart and are connected through an ATM network. Flock of Birds motion tracking device is used for the tracking of the body motion. Also used is a Head-mounted display which allows the user to have an improved sense of presence in the virtual environment.

MIRALab’s contribution

The main contribution of MIRALab is to model in a realistic way the virtual humans. This show has been presented at the opening ceremony of Interactive Telecom’97 in Geneva.
